How It All Began - My Journey with Willow & Fli

My journey with Willow & Fli began from a simple conversation with Tracie Finlay - nine years ago! Can you believe it? Time really does fly when you're surrounded by good people and beautiful things 💫

Back then, I had to move out of the space I was working from. On a visit to Just Country (which is what Willow & Fli was called at the time), Tracie casually suggested I take a look at the building next door. Now, let me tell you - it was dark, dingy, and very unloved... but somehow, we could both see the potential hiding underneath the dust and cobwebs.

Through hard work, determination, and a whole lot of focus, that old building was transformed into something wonderful. We joined it to the beautiful boutique space the girls had already created, and what a transformation it was ✨

I can’t go on without mentioning Tammey McCallum, whose input and guidance helped bring the design to life. Her creative eye helped shape the space we opened up, and the flow between the two areas was just meant to be.

In those early days, my Workroom was tucked down the back of the shop, while the boutique filled the front with stunning shoes and clothing 👗👠 Over time, the space has continued to evolve - and so have we.

There have been many changes since then…
✨ Tana took over the reins of Willow & Fli
🌸 Blush and Bloom was created by Caity Byrnes in the space out front
💆♀️ And when Caity moved on, Therese Hamilton moved in with her beautiful Relaxation Massage studio.

It’s amazing to look back at how much this space has grown and changed - and how many women have poured their hearts into it 💕

I absolutely love my Workroom. It’s my happy place, filled with creativity and purpose. But more than that, I’m beyond grateful to work in an environment where kindness, encouragement, and support are part of everyday life.

We cheer each other on through the highs and hold space for one another through the lows. We believe in growth, collaboration, and the idea that there’s enough sunshine for everyone 🌞

This little hub we’ve created is more than just bricks and mortar - it’s a community, a family, and a daily reminder that women supporting women is a powerful thing 💛
